Lead Heating & Cooling Installation Technician


Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience

Work Setting:Residential

Education/Credentials: Gas level B certification, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Skill Requirements: Installation of residential HVAC systems. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Absolute professionalism in customer service. Excellent communication (both oral and written). Present a neat and well groomed appearance and take pride by arriving on time and wearing company uniforms. Keep work van clean, organized and well stocked at all times. Willing to work in a variety of settings, be physically fit, able to climb ladders or work in confined spaces. Ability to fabricate and/or install duct work.

Residential HVAC Equipment Installation Experience Should Include:

– Furnaces

– Ductless heat pumps

– Central heat pumps & air conditioners

– Tank-less water heaters

– Sheet metal fabrication

Apprentice Heating & Cooling/HVAC Installation Technician

Salary: Negotiable; per hour dependent on experience

Location: Nanaimo & surrounding areas

Experience: 1-2 Years; Post Secondary HVAC/R Course Completion

Work Setting: Residential

Education/Credentials: Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Skill Requirements: Capable of safely & competently working alongside a lead installation technician, while installing residential HVAC systems. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Absolute professionalism in customer service. Excellent communication (both oral and written). Present a neat and well-groomed appearance, take pride by arriving on time and wearing company provided uniforms. Keeping work van clean, always organized and well stocked. Willing to work in a variety of settings, be physically fit, able to climb ladders or work in confined spaces. Knowledge, familiarity and capability of using power tools safely & competently is required. Must be willing to participate in training.

The following residential HVAC equipment installation experience is considered an asset:

  • Furnaces
  • Central heat pumps & air conditioners
  • Ductless heat pumps
  • Tank-less water heaters
  • Gas fireplaces
  • IAQ products
  • Sheet metal fabrication
